Amplify Sports was founded by Ally Flan, who originally built her platform under her own name. Motivated by a passion to see women’s sports receive the recognition they deserve, Ally launched Amplify Sports with the goal of creating a dedicated space for coverage and storytelling across women's sport.

The current focus is Amplify Football, which aims to spotlight the women’s game through media, content, and community. As the platform grows, Ally plans to expand into new areas, including Amplify Rugby and other branches that will highlight different aspects of women's sports.

Her mission is clear: to amplify the game, grow its reach, drive meaningful change, and build a community of people who share that vision.

Amplify Football is a platform dedicated to elevating the profile of women’s football while supporting the next generation of photographers and aspiring journalists. Our mission is twofold: to provide high-quality coverage of the women’s game and to offer emerging talent real-world opportunities to gain experience in sports media.

Contributors will be accredited by Amplify Football and will represent the platform by capturing match photography or producing written content such as articles, news updates, and match summaries. This page aims to become a central hub for all things women’s football, delivering insightful coverage, powerful visuals, and timely news in one accessible space.

At present, these roles will be offered on a voluntary basis. However, as we secure sponsorship and build financial backing, our goal is to introduce paid opportunities for our contributors.

Ultimately, Amplify Football is about giving women’s football the recognition it deserves while empowering new voices to help tell its story.

Amplify Sports started with a feeling. I was constantly searching for one place that truly covered women's sports. I wanted to find match reports, articles, and news updates without needing to scroll through endless pages or jump between accounts. But that place did not exist. Every time I looked, I felt the same frustration. And then I thought, if I feel like this, surely others do too.

That realisation was the beginning. But it was never just about the content. It was about the people behind it. I saw how few opportunities there were for journalists, researchers, and creatives in women's sport. I knew I could not do it all on my own, and honestly, I never wanted to. I wanted to build something that could give others a way in. A way to learn, grow, and feel part of something bigger.

Photography told the same story.

 It is incredibly difficult to find high quality, free images of women's football. Yet so many gifted photographers are out there, capturing powerful moments from the stands instead of being pitchside where they belong. I saw a chance to change that. More imagery for the platform. More opportunities for photographers to shine.

And then came the name. That was the hardest part. I needed something that could grow with the vision. Something that could begin with football and eventually include all of women’s sport. I kept coming back to what I was trying to do. To amplify the game. To give it the attention it deserves. And I wanted it to still feel personal. So I chose Amplify. And I kept the initials AF as a quiet reminder of where it all began with me, a womens sports fan - Ally Flan.
